1.     Offering All-State, Academic All-State and Friend of Dance awards.

 

2.    Benefits would be the insurance through the SDHSCA as well as being able to have State Coach of the Year recognition and also the ability to be able to nominate for National Coach of the Year.

3.    As a Sport Group member of SDHSCA, we are allowed members on the Board of Directors.  Three region representatives, one Native American representative (chosen by the SDHSAA Native American Council) and one Assistant Coach representative (younger coach with limited experience.)

4.    As with cheer, the SDHSCA does not select outstanding athletes in these sports since it is very difficult to determine any criteria, but would be open to discuss this.
